Samsara by Joshua Hudson
The world is a monkey trap
A jar high up in a tree
Plan for the eye to see–Inside a tasty treat
In my grasp, I hold my prize
Only to find the hole’s wrong size
I pull hard kicking my feet
Rattle and tap,The jar won’t crack
The world won’t give my paw back
I’m now exhausted in the heat
Breath and gasp
If I would just let go–Out my fingers would flow
Freedom I could seek
I have my task
So focused on having –No idea of not grabbing
Is what makes the monkey trap unique.
